Summer Nights…

One of my families most cherished memories is of our camping trips. With no money for trains and planes we opted to purchase a pop-up camper. It slept 6 comfortably, but it seemed to hold more than that on occasion, if you counted the neighbors kids and our two dogs.  Today’s fast-paced life often leaves busy parents searching for opportunities to spend quality time together as a family. Increasingly, families are discovering that vacationing in a camper or RV is the best way to cement family relationships while having a great time.

Sun Worshipers Rejoice!

Here in the Northeast, we are in the middle of winter and enjoying the warmth of cozy fires, while looking at the beautiful blanket of white that covers the earth outside our windows. Hmm…but is this what we see?

Are you a sun worshiper and love large windows, but feeling the sun will do more harm than good? Do you have beautiful windows, but have covered them with costly shades only to feel that the shades clearly weren’t as fun to stare at as the view was, and they really didn’t help much with the cold or heat.

Industrial Farmhouse

Surrounded by an arch of red brick, parsons chairs stand at either end of the farmhouse reclaimed lumber table, illuminated by the lanterns above the rustic kitchen island. Adjacent are barn doors that lead the way into the pantry. Just your average rustic industrial home, right? Wrong! At Urban Industrial Design, owner and operator Brian Seitz decided to invest in his talents and pursue his dream of doing what he loves – joining fine carpentry with metal fabrication to create classic and original pieces of furniture. His sense of aesthetics is a unique balance between the rustic charm of reclaimed wood materials combined with a hint of edginess that adds sophistication.
