Twas the Friday before Christmas.. and all through the house, not a drill was drilling, not a noise from my spouse! If my husband starts a project, it will surely be… the last project he starts under our lovely Christmas Tree…

His many trips to Lowes and Home Depot this year, have resulted in projects completed, my dear. With DeWalt and Milwaukie, Bosh and Porter Cable, he has finally finished that beautiful dining room table.

Curtis Lumber stepped up with the materials we sought, and even our wallets felt good after all was bought!

Removing his boots and tool belt to rest, he decided to sleep in our cozy little nest. When out on the lawn Scotts Lawn Service arrives with shipment of seed, and a twinkle in their eyes ..

Away to the window he flew in a flash, tore open the shutters and they fell off the sash …More rapid than eagles, Comfort window appeared with the solutions we needed for that pesky repair!

My husband arose from his long winters nap, he ran out the door without his warm winters cap… he whistled and shouted then called them by name, “Now plumbers, electricians and painters stay sane, the Times Union Home Expo is where the customers all came!”  With a wink of his eye and a twist of his head.. soon we all knew there was nothing to dread!

He spoke not a word, but went straight back to work, filled up all the holes and then with a smirk, he started his compressor and grabbed the hose, off to the chimney and up it he rose…

He sprang to his truck, and with a loud whistle, away he flew like the down of a thistle, but I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight, running to Solar City my dear to make sure we have light!!!

We hope you enjoyed the story we shared…Merry Christmas to all and to all some good cheer.
